Our Philosophy and Approach.

A Better Way to Build Web Sites.

Our approach to implementing your Web Site is based on three principles.

  • Rapid Prototyping.
  • Quick turn-over to the client.
  • All inclusive rates.

Guided by these ideas, we deliver great web sites at low cost in a short time. Our objective is to provide you with a site and the tools that allow you to maintain your site after it is up and running. This eliminates a major cost of ownership of many sites: ongoing updates and maintenance.

Rapid Prototyping.

Many Web providers today approach the design of web sites the same way mainframe applications were built in the 1960’s. They start with long hours (billable!) of analysis and design before ever producing a single web page. By the time pages begin to appear, the user’s needs may have changed, or the analysis missed the mark to begin with.

Our method is based on a paradigm that has been in use in the computer industry for the last ten years, called rapid prototyping. We start with a few ideas from the user and a lot of interaction. Rather than producing a paper design, we go directly to a prototype site, that implements these concepts. Then, together, we refine the site until the client is satisfied. This whole process takes less time than the analysis approach, and greatly reduces the cost.

Quick turn-over to the client.

Many web developers try to keep their clients in their fold forever. Using many sophisticated techniques, they produce complex and hard to understand sites. By doing so, they guarantee themselves future work in maintaining and updating their client’s sites.

Our approach is to keep your site as simple as possible, using today’s excellent web building tools. Then, after the initial site deployment, we train you on using programs such as FrontPage, so that you can maintain your own site. If you need help, we’re always ready to provide it. But your cost of ownership can be greatly reduced by updating and maintaining your own site.

All-inclusive Rates.

As you look at the rate schedules for many developers, you will see a wide range of charges for services that should be included with the page charge. One developer boasts: "$ xxx per page, with 1.3 images per page"! Did you ever wonder what a third of an image looks like?

We feel that when you pay for a web page, you shouldn’t be charged for every little component. Our page price includes any number of images (provided electronically and not requiring touch-up), a reasonable amount of text, links, forms, etc. Of course, if you just wrote the Great American Novel, by hand, and want us to enter it, we’ll charge you for the typing! As long as your pages are not extraordinary, you’ll only pay the basic rate.
